The Santa Catarina–based company Olsen, through its U.S. subsidiary Olsen USA LLC, received the Miami-Dade County Key during an official ceremony presented by Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. Flávio Luiz Nunes Coelho, CEO of Olsen USA, accepted the honor, which was part of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council’s program — the County’s official economic development organization, where Olsen’s U.S. headquarters is located.
As the County’s official economic development partner, the Beacon Council is dedicated to attracting businesses and investments to Miami-Dade, promoting long-term inclusive and sustainable growth for the community, companies, and residents. Miami’s GDP currently reaches USD 1.160 billion, making it the number one city in Florida and the fourteenth largest in the United States.
Flávio Luiz Nunes Coelho, CEO of Olsen USA, considers the recognition highly significant for the Santa Catarina company. The event was also attended by André Odenbreit Carvalho, the Consul General of Brazil in Miami.
“Thanks to events like this, the Olsen brand is starting to become more well-known in the United States, beginning in an extremely dynamic region with a global economic position — one that offers major business opportunities even for foreign companies, as is our case,” says Flávio.
According to the executive, Olsen is currently preparing its presence in a physical space to showcase its equipment and begin its own operations, following the showroom model already adopted by its Brazilian branches. As the next step, the company will accredit technical professionals and officially begin administrative, commercial, and service activities.
